On 1st April the Employment Rights (Amendments, Revocation and Transitional Provision) Regulations 2023 came into effect.
On 1st April the Employment Rights (Amendments, Revocation and Transitional Provision) Regulations 2023 came into effect.
The new legislation applies when calculating the holiday pay and entitlement for irregular hours and part year workers – such as casual and permanent relief staff engaged in schools – for the holiday year beginning on or after 1st April 2024.
What’s changed?
Rolled Up Holiday Pay is now permitted for part-year and irregular hours workers. A payment in respect of annual leave can be made at the same time a claim for worked hours is made – rather than paying for it at the time leave is taken.
What is HR Connect doing?
HR Connect will adopt a Rolled Up Holiday Pay approach for all our payroll customers for employees on permanent relief and casual contracts. Further information will be shared about this through our customer portals.
